| The Family Information Service is designed to improve the lives of children and their families.
This is a FREE and impartial service providing information for families with children and young people up to the age of 19, either directly through our extensive database of providers or referrals on to specialist sources of support. The service is provided by Family Resource Centre UK on behalf of Reading Borough Council and West Berkshire Council.
We are the only official organisation that holds Ofsted registered childcare provider information in Reading, and West Berkshire (e.g. childminders, day nurseries, pre-schools, after school clubs, breakfast clubs, holiday clubs, creches), which is updated daily onto our system.
Our free service provides the most up to date information for families ensuring that the information they receive is always for currently registered providers, eliminating any possibility of details of providers suspended or resigned (who are no longer Ofsted registered) being sent to them.
